AP - The National League Championship Series begins tonight in New York with the St. Louis Cardinals taking on the Mets. Cliff Floyd remained on the Mets' roster despite a strained left Achilles' tendon. The Detroit Tigers play the A's at Oakland in game 2 of the American League Championship Series. The Tigers took the opener last night 5-1.
